Retail Sales Deadline For Uzbek Government

Gazeta.uz website reported that since July 1, 2010, Ukraine will stipulate the retail period for a series of imported consumer goods, that is, imported consumer goods must be sold within one year after the customs declaration procedures have been processed.

The new regulations relate to imported goods including TV sets, refrigerators, air conditioners, iron, bedding (single or whole), curtain gauze, towels, sheets, gowns, jackets, sportswear and underwear, sewing products, stockings and leather shoes. One year after going through customs clearance procedures, it will be regarded as a violation of trade rules (no license sales) and will be dealt with in accordance with relevant laws.

It is said that the new regulation aims at improving the service quality of residents, ensuring adequate cash flow in the market and trade system, preventing low quality and selling counterfeit and smuggled goods.
