According to the increase in orders received by German plastics and rubber equipment manufacturers in the first few months of 2007, the production of rubber and plastic equipment industry in Germany will increase by 3% to 4% in 2007.

In June 14th, at the annual press conference held in Mainz, western Germany, Jan-Udo Kreyenborg, chairman of the plastics and rubber equipment association under the German Federation of machinery manufacturers (VDMA), said: "the increase in orders received by major equipment manufacturers and the industry cycle of the industry deduced from this indicates that sales will increase in 2007". "VDMA"

In 2006, the output value of plastic and rubber equipment increased to 19 billion 600 million euros (18 billion 600 million euros in 2005).

Germany's plastics and rubber equipment manufacturers accounted for 24.9% of the total, leading in China (13.7%), Italy (12.4%), the United States (9.3%) and Japan (8.8%).

Jan-Udo Kreyenborg pointed out in the report: "as predicted last year, China's plastics and rubber equipment manufacturers are not only more competitive than Japan and the United States, but also surpass Italy."

In 2006, global exports reached 14 billion 400 million euros (13 billion 400 million euros in 2005).

Among them, German rubber and plastic equipment accounted for 24.9% of global exports (25% in 2005), and German plastics and rubber equipment manufacturers are still in the leading position of the global export industry.

Japan's share of global exports was 12.8%, down from the previous year (14.2% in 2005).

According to official figures, Italy's share of exports in 2006 was 10.7% (10.9% in 2005), and the United States was fourth, with a share of 7% (7.2% in 2005), followed by China.

China's share increased again to 5.8% (4.5% in 2005).

Output growth exceeds expected domestic orders

In 2006, the total output value of German plastics and rubber equipment manufacturers was 4 billion 900 million euros, an increase of 5.5% over the previous year (4 billion 600 million euros in 2005).

Jan-Udo Kreyenborg chairman said: "in fact, it has exceeded our forecast for 2006 (forecast growth of 4%).

By the end of 2006, export business was better than expected, even in June last year.

What really gratis us is the substantial increase in the long-awaited domestic orders. "

In 2006, total orders for plastic and rubber equipment in Germany increased by 15% over the previous year.

Domestic orders increased by 16%, and export orders increased by 15%.

Productivity utilization increased to 94% (89% in 2005).

In the export market of plastic machinery in Europe, the United States accounted for 12.2% of the market share, still the most important export market, followed by China (8.9%), Russia (6.1%), France (4.8%), Turkey (4.1%), Poland (3.9%), Italy (3.7%), Spain (3.2%), Britain (3%) and Switzerland (3%).

Finally, Jan-Udo Kreyenborg analyzed the pressure and impact of rising prices of raw materials and strong euro on local manufacturers.

These two problems can not be automatically pferred to plastic and rubber processing industries, and the industry itself is bound to bear enormous cost pressures.
